Based in Pittsboro, NC, Elizabeth Brown is a music educator with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from UNC-Chapel Hill. Mrs. Brown enjoys working with students of all ages and is dedicated to helping each student reach their musical potential.
In addition to private instruction, Mrs. Brown has a background in public school music education, having taught middle and high school choir for six years. She is committed to working with her students to achieve their individual goals with a focus on technique, music theory, and performance skills. Most importantly, Mrs. Brown believes in the unique ability of music as a tool for self-expression, personal growth, and building confidence.
Pricing and Policies
Mrs. Brown offers piano lessons at the beginner/intermediate levels and voice lessons for all skills levels out of her home studio in Pittsboro, NC.
Pricing
30 minute lessons: $160 per month (4 lessons)
45 minute lessons: $220 per month (4 lessons)
Totals are adjusted for months with five weeks or months with a holiday break. Payment is due before the first lesson of each month. Payment is accepted via cash, check, or Zelle.
Cancellation Policy
Students are permitted one makeup lesson per semester (Jan-Jun, July-Dec). Any lessons cancelled beyond one per semester are forfeited and any unused makeup lessons do not roll over to the next semester. It is the student/parent responsibility to contact Mrs. Brown to schedule a makeup lesson. Any lessons cancelled by Mrs. Brown will always be made up and do not count towards the one per semester student makeup lesson.

Where do I get materials?
Students/parents are responsible for purchasing their own books and music. Mrs. Brown will help you with this, most often they can be found affordably online.
Where can I wait while my child has their lesson?
You are welcome to sit in on the lesson, wait on the covered front porch just outside, or wait in your car if preferred.
What if I need to withdraw from lessons?
Withdrawing from lessons requires at least 30 days notice. If this results in stopping lessons in the middle of a billing cycle, that month will be prorated.
